Day Ten: No More Walking, No More Learning

The beginning of day ten was bittersweet. As much as we had enjoyed the previous nine days, I was a little bit tired of walking, and a little bit tired of learning. I was really looking forward to sitting and driving!

Although I had spent a lot of time planning the entire trip, I did not look at any of the details of the drive back, and it turned out that we got to drive through mountains.

Here is the Blue Mountain:

And the tunnel through the mountain:

The Kittatinny Mountain:

The Tuscarora Mountain:

Beautiful trees:

and the Allegheny Mountain:

And then we travelled through a few states:

Also, has anyone ever gotten a good picture of the Indiana sign? I keep trying....

The sky was pretty.

The only thing we planned to stop for on the whole trip home was dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Indiana. We got to Indianapolis in plenty of time, but it took me quite a while to change clothes at the local Wendy's.
Bryan dropped me at the door of OSF and left to find parking (which was remarkably difficult to find) while I took pictures of the area - but strangely not of the Old Spaghetti Factory.

Here is a picture of the restaurant courtesy of google:

On the way back to St. Louis we tried to listen to the presidential debate and were very frustrated with the lack of NPR affiliates - but we suffered through the static of KMOX. The trip seemed to go pretty quickly, and we stopped only once, running one at a time into the bathroom so that we could fill each other in on any questions/answers the other missed.

And that's it! I know it took me longer to blog the vacation than to take the vacation (thank you Audra), but what can I say - I had to spend some time getting a president elected. (More on that later!)
